Malaysia's E-Invoicing Initiative
MyInvois is Malaysia's official e-invoicing system implemented by LHDN (Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia). This initiative aims to modernize business transactions, improve tax compliance, and reduce tax leakage.
Implementation Timeline
Malaysia has established a phased implementation approach for mandatory e-invoicing:

Taxpayers with an annual turnover or revenue of more than RM100 million

Key Requirements
MyInvois-compliant invoices must include:
- Unique invoice identifier (IRN)
- Seller's business information and tax ID
- Buyer's business information and tax ID (when applicable)
- Detailed invoice line items with proper tax codes
- Accurate tax calculations using approved tax categories
- Digital submission to LHDN's e-invoicing platform
- QR code for verification purposes
- Compliant digital formatting (XML/JSON)
How MyInvois Works
MyInvois operates through a centralized platform managed by LHDN. Here's the typical workflow:
1 Invoice Creation

2 Validation & Submission
